About Resonator Spectroscopy

This measurement maps the resonator's transmission response as a function of drive frequency. The resulting Lorentzian peak reveals the resonant frequency and linewidth, from which you can extract the quality factor Q = f₀/Δf. A high Q indicates low loss and is essential for strong coupling in circuit QED experiments.
